Kyla Seely

Clinician

I am a licensed social worker with three years of experience working with adults, children, and families in difficult situations. I received my bachelors of social work from Xavier University and a master’s of social work from The Ohio State University with an area of emphasis in child and youth services.

I have worked with clients dealing with traumatic situations, substance use, domestic violence, child abuse, sexual abuse, and mental health disorders such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and more. I assist clients in navigating trauma by walking alongside them and building healthy coping mechanisms that address root issues. I have knowledge of and will utilize multiple therapy modalities including but not limited to CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Narrative Therapy while working with clients.

I believe in meeting the client where they are emotionally and trusting in the development of a therapeutic relationship that will bring about the desired goals. I believe that empowering individuals to seek change is the only way to achieve desired change. I believe that clients are the expert on their own lives and I seek to be an agent who motivates, encourages, and guides clients along the way. I look forward to listening to your story and being a part of your journey towards healing.
